This week, Google announced that it will be shutting down Google+ over the coming months.
You read that right.
Google will be shutting down its in-house social network for consumers.
The company announced that two factors went into its decision to shutter the network: low usage and a massive security bug.
Will Google Photos shut down?
Google has an official closing date for its troubled Google+ social network: April 2. The search engine giant says on that date Google+ accounts and any pages created will be shut down and begin being deleted. Photos and videos also stored in Google Photos will not be affected.
Will the Google+ shutdown affect Gmail?
Photos and videos stored in Google Photos, for instance, will not be affected. Your Google account, which is linked to services such as Gmail, YouTube and Maps, will continue to work, but your Google+ account, which was only used for the social network, will be deleted.
Does Google+ shutdown affect blogger?

Will the Google+ shutdown affect YouTube?
On April 2nd, your Google+ account and any Google+ pages you created will be shut down and we will begin deleting content from consumer Google+ accounts. Hi CraftyMaelyss: the shutdown of Google+ will not affect your YouTube channel. YouTube and Google+ have separate for a couple of years now.
